I leave out in the sun to dry out when I've got time but we ride in the evening often.
Buy a new shop vac that can be used for wet or dry and strictly use it for wet for the boat. That helps get at least most of the water out of the carpet and in any areas hard to get with a towel.

I've have used a wet/dry vac on really wet carpet. it works really well.
Another trick I use is too put down a dry towel on the wet areas and then step on the towel.soaks it up good.

Thanks guys, I ordered a wet dry vac from Amazon(with one click purchases they make it too easy to spend money). I'll round up some old towels as well.
