Airguide Replacement Lens Opinions Needed

Question.

It has been close to two years waiting for a company to reproduce the Airguide lenses in the proper shape (overseas).

I now have a company (USA) that will reproduce the lenses in polycarbonate. Retail will be $22.00 each. Currently glass is $45 to $55 and availability is sporadic.

Are plastic replacements acceptable?

I would do a poll but I do not know how or if it is even available.

I need your opinions because the initial investment is quite large.
Thank you,
Dean

Plastic fine so long as it doesn't yellow, for the effort of dismantling, I would not want to replace yellowed glass periodically.

@ that point I'll just invest in glass.

the lenses on my '91 Airguide speedos are plastic, don't see a need to change to glass

Hi dean. Congrats on the parts especially the lens.

Every 2025 airguide I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty, have had polycarbonate lenses. Your pricing is very good.

I haven't got access to the airguide.com.au website to update it at the moment and can't get my email from it so im glad you've picked this up

Greg

I agree as well, poly lenses would be just fine. I know the lenses in my current '90 are poly.

Airguide Replacement Lens Are AVAILABLE NOW

Finally, the replacement lenses are in. I ended up having them made from polycarbonate. I could not get a good quality glass lens. You can see and order them here http://www.classicboatwork.com/class...e/agr/agr.html
