I parked in one of the coves yesterday and just dropped an anchor and had the swim platform a few few feet off the beach...worked out great...river dropped off quickly to about 12 feet then.

Just bring a few fenders, some ropes and an anchor or two....you will be fine.

Our boat did not move too much back and forth as it just followed the direction of the current.

Any suggestions on anchor type and size? Probably going to pick one up this week.

I went 15lbs I believe it's been awhile... I only use it to keep the stern in place and tie off the front to a stake or something else...

Still plan on attending. Probably just me in my car with a ski at this point, no family available that weekend.
