That goes without saying. It's like a slice of heaven up there. I need to figure out how to summer up there and winter here in CO.

Makes me think I can handle my business wherever I am. I am thinking of summers in Northern Wisconsin.

Removed the throttle assembly to address play in the throttle lever only to find the set-screw was loose. Much better than having internal issues. Everything was properly lubricated and fasteners were all tight. Back in the boat and ready to go.

Question

Does anyone know on a 2005 mastercraft X2 do you have to split the deck to change the fuel tank ???? I don't think you have too because of the floor panel being able to be removed along with the middle piece of fiberglass on the back seat the tank actually sits between the rails. My local dealer says it has to be split. Called MasterCraft in Vonore but can't get a call returned so just curious. Thanks in advance

No way the deck has to be split. Remove the floor then the center support from the back seat, and it will come out. This thread has a picture that shows the fuel tank with the floor removed.

Been a busy past couple weeks. Installed 2000lbs of ballast c/w 3 new pumps and thruhulls. Depth Finder, dual battery, new surf racks, light bar & interior LED's and pulled all the glass for tint. While the glass was out, I had the windshield frame powdercoated black. New trailer brake actuator and winch. All just in time for 10 days in Saskatchewan at Lac Des Isles.

Ohh Yeah!! Even if everything else goes wrong today, at least I can say it started off well. The 351 roars again! I put on the new carb, made a couple adjustments, and it starts, idles and revs like it should -- most of these are things it didn't do before lol. The only bummer is that I've got boring office stuff to do today and can't go lake test it But I'll be able to take it out tomorrow morning.
