Hey good morning I have the very same motor and I too purchased the alternator from DB it should be in some time next week. I was just wondering if you had a chance to fire it up and does or did it work ok for you? I am hoping my top bolt goes through the two inch spacer and I don't have drill it out. thanks for the post it helped me tremendously.

The DB Electrical alternator that I installed has performed flawlessly all summer long. It provides a solid 13-14 all the way through the power curve, and charges nicely even at idle. I have ran my stereo for long stints (reason why I upgraded) and it charges my batteries great underway. Interestingly enough, I had removed my back seat and rear floor board for another project, and look what I found.....my original alt bracket spacer rollin around. Guess the original owner must have "misplaced it".....

Cheers

The new alternator worked like a charm! I also put in a new battery kill switch as well. Thanks again for your help.
