Bump, has anyone added this option to their boat? What was the process you did?

If you haven't ever used Navionics on your PDA give it a try it's an excellent app.
I added it in my 2012 X25, and it sucked on the medallion system. Not even close to accurate.

Added in my '13 XStar, and it was much better on the murphy system. All they had to do was hand me a flash drive with the maps on it. This system is much more accurate, and user friendly.

I don't care how good it is, $600 is ridiculous, esp if all they do is unlock it and add the maps. That should be a LOT cheaper.

Ok, here's the updated version. I have a 2010 Mastercraft X2.

Unlock Code from Medallion cost $430.00 ( does anyone have a work around for this?)

Navionics Map for you local area= $149.99

GPS Antenna =403920 GPS Antenna $325.00

Total cost to add= $904.99 I was very interested in adding but for $1000.00 I think I'll pass. Especially when you can add it your ipad, iphone or Andriod device for $9.99.

I bought a Bad Elf Pro and pair with bluetooth that to an iPad with Navionics... Works very well. Also may try my iPhone RCA cable converter plugged into the video in... But frankly the iPad works well. I use the bad elf 4wheeling as well, nice device.

I use either my iPhone or Ipad with Navionics both works excellent but i would love to have it on my boat but I'm not paying $1,000.00 for it. It's not worth that.

Not saying your wrong, because your not. But MC has to pay licensing fees for the maps.... Same reason why nav is so expensive in a car. You think $600 is too expensive? Add navigation to your next vehicle purchase, and report back...... Last I knew, even a ford focus had a $1100.00 upcharge for navigation. Its the map license fee...

Can someone post a screen shot during actual use? Only interested in the Murphy system Nav. If you purchase this, how do you know if your lake will be on it?
