We are in a fairly narrow river and typically pulling kids, so we try to get back back to them pretty quickly due to current and other traffic that may be rounding a bend. I get a bit nervous about the high speed bass boats and PWC that come bombing up the river with regularity. But our river current and nearby banks eliminate sending rollers very far at all when we power turn. That said, when we have a stretch alone I do try to take the mellow option.
