It's right hand rotation, don't forget that part.
Details, details. Just shift it into reverse to go forward. LOL!

It's interesting that MC uses a 351 with velvet drive w LH rotation, CC uses the same powertrainand the prop turns the other direction. Slightly different tranny? Does the engine spin the other direction?

Acme 541 is the go to prop on this boat. Look at easties' prop comparison right up.

Acme 422 most likely. There's also a 3 blade that people like, but the 422 is a gem. Use the PN discount for 25% off on that prop through Delta Props. Congrats on the boat. Those old euro backs track and ski well.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

The 540 and 541 are mirror image props: the 540 is RH for CC's, the 541 is LH for MC's.

The 422 is 12.5 x 15.5, wouldn't be a good choice with a 1:1 tranny.
