I know 46Chief would have an answer for performance. He rides behind a 197 and he would most likely have some parts for that boat if needed. Maybe an ecu! PM him.

I second that. There is no other tower as nice as NDT, but my experience was terrible. They still owe me $75.00 for overcharging me even after they said they would refund it.. And a brand new tower with every single option available should not have dings and gouges in it. As well, the stip is you have to inspect it before taking delivery. Problem was that I had to pick it up myself from the shipping yard and they wouldn't let me inspect it. Their towers are awesome. But their customer service is terrible.

I don't want that to deter you from getting one. But realize that you need to be on your A game as far as making sure you get what you paid for.

Good luck in your search

The ball on those towers are rear mounted, very easy to break off in that situation, would still have tower damage though, might not affect anything but they seem careless, look it over well.

FYI, the X7 I believe is on the 197 hull, and has an awesome slalom wake...

You know they all have a little string hanging out, but it's not a tampon, it's a price tag...

Yeah, x7 is just the 197 with a tower and ballast.

I found another X7 for sale....let me know river rat how the wake is. I would be using it strictly for wakeboarding and maybe surfing. Really curious how the wake transforms after that rear sac is filled.....I know, I know, another ski boat with a tower....just like my Tristar

If you want a boat for boarding and surfing, look at the X9 over an X7, or into one of the 205v hull boats. The X7 is made to have a flat wake.

I have looked all over the west coast (ca, mt, or, id, wa, co, etc) for a 205v...hard to find 2002-2005...I gave a call on an X-10, but the owner is kind of shady, hard to get a hold of, takes 2 days to respond to emails, texts, etc. Took 8 days to provide better pictures than what was on Craigslist... Then I found an 03 X7, cherry condition, only 175 hours....maddening I tell ya
