I tow my 197 with a 2wd Durango. Small hemi. Only problem I have ever had was on extreme ramps that were sandy. Pavement....never an issue.

I've only had to use 4 x 4 one time to get out of the water. Other than that I keep it in rear wheel drive. All will depend on the ramp.

At Big Mac with the water really low, I had to back the truck into the water to the rails because there was no ramp, 4x4 for sure there, but every other time it's in 2wd. All depends on your ramps.

Some Ramps are to flat you have to get bsck tires in water while some have more grade allowing boat to relea as e easy. I figure to be safe launch with Z71 and then Sub maybe later

2wd isn't an issue for launching or haul out of a boat as long as you take your time
