In four games the Wings will be out too.

Good come back. Seems to me that they're on a bit of a tear going into the playoffs. I'll place a small wager on them not getting swept.

Plus, you didn't really address the Preds absence.

Preds out due to a ton of injuries - most of our top players were out (and some still are)
The players who should have scored did not. The last month of the season we were playing with most of our farm team - I didnt know most of the team. We were right there, and Erat walked away.
The bright side - healthy next season, all the young guys have had a crack at the NHL, Forsberg looks to be the real deal (needs muscle and learn more) and we have the #4 pick this year.

Wings may not get swept - Howard better have a career series. Tootoo will surprise you in the playoffs - I do miss him. Good guy too.

The teams I do not want to win the Cup - Wings, Wild and any team from Canada

Well, they'll be in for at least 5 games, so we've got that going for us.

Can't understand the "no teams from Canada" comment, seems like a ignorant thing to say, IMO.

When you compare US vs. Canadian born players.........aren't most teams "from Canada"?

Exactly right. The Cup, inevitably, always comes back home.

Ignorant?? Try living in Nashville and listening to 99% of folks, media from Canada saying NO hockey should be in the South. That stance is ignorant.

I agree with no hockey in the South. Not So much Nashville, they have fan support etc, however Why does Phoenix need a team? They don't even get natural ice to form and they have no fan support even in the playoffs. When the Wings play them it looks like another Home game at the Joe with all the red in the stands.
