Did you carve out some of the foam under the rails to get the "boxes" to slide up under there?

I did. I used a pneumatic chisel to cut it out. Was quick and easy, and less messy.

Got ya. I cut my speaker mounts today and I went to test fit and was scratching my head for a minute ha ha

I have some pictures of the boxes in place under the gunnels. Ill upload some pics of that tonight after I get home.

Some Side Shots. I also added a 1"X1" strip (Not in the pictures) at the top backside of the boxes so the flat head screws had more to bite into.
