LY6 'Hunting' when cold

Hi
I have an odd 'fault' which I'm told is a 'feature' of the LY6 engine.

I have a 2008 XStar and when it starts from cold it hunts to almost stalling for about a minute.

It is especially bad when I start it for the first time at the beginning of the season, where it can often stall whilst ticking over (it is winterised, had fuel stabiliser in the petrol, and has just been serviced, and I have just put another 100 litres of fresh fuel in it).

Once the engine has got past a minute or so it runs fine and is fine for the rest of the day.

There are two other MC's with the same engine near me and they seem to do the same.

I was thinking of changing the spark plugs but the engine has only done 160 hrs and the plugs are supposed to have a lifetime guarantee (Adelco 41-985 in it).

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Ian (in a cold a raining UK!)
