Can you run a straight barefoot international boom on a vdrive

I found a cheap straight boom and am thinking about getting to use as a ski/wake trainer for ,y kids. I've heard spray can be an issue near back of boart, but didn't knw if that was bigger issue for barefooting. I can pick this up for 200 vs the 500 for a new vdrive or tower boom.

Here is a pretty good deal on a BI v-drive boom:

You can probably find a coupon code to make it even cheaper.

That's a pretty good deal. They normally run $500.00 or so.

The only way you'll find a cheaper boom is if it's used. Then you'll have to readjust the cables to fit your boat Down the road, your kids will probably have a more enjoyable time skiing if it's the right boom for your boat. Last thing you'll want to do is be horsing around with a boom that doesn't fit properly because you were trying to save a few bucks. Less stress=more fun!

And it's free shipping. No brainer...

Too much spray back there and it would be harder to control the boom if not in the center of the boat IMHO

Coupon code OVT5 gives $5 of every $50 spent making it $35 off plus free shipping.
That would make it $354.99 and you might have to add tax if you have an Overton's or Gander Mountain in your state.
