Yep, spindles or pickets are being put in today every 4" on center. I should have an updated photo later today with them in place.

Getting close. I feel better seeing the handrails on the loft and stairs! I was getting nervous just looking at the pics!

Tonight I mitered all of the oak to trim the edges of the kitchen countertop.

Going to have to wait till tomorrow night to route the beveled edge and laminate the top portion

4/24/2013 Update: Stairway railing is now completed and just needs poly.

The carpenter finished up the stairway railing yesterday, putting in the spindles and it is exactly what we were looking for. Only thing left to do is put a few clear coats of poly on them now.
The carpenter will be out of there today and wil come back after the interior doors are painted and will install all of the handles, etc. as well as the pull knobs and handles on the cabinets.

The electricians have just a few things left to hook-up and the well driller is still going at it. As of yesterday evening he was down about 100' and into a mixture of clay and gravel and with rain in the forecast the next couple of days, I doubt he will get done this week.

It is getting closer!!!

My personal opinion is there shouldn't be anywhere in your house that you can't enjoy a beer. Amen!!
