05 X Star Tower Breakdown.. How To.

I have searched and searched, and found one thread of a 6 point how to... But no pictures of a tower broke down sitting. I even looked on Youtube.

I know loosen front pins, and pull rear pins, then tilt back to transom.

But it said be sure to spin your Tower Racks, but didnt say In or Out.

spin your tower racks to where the forks would be facing up when you fold the back of the tower down.

I've never folded mine, but if you look at the front hinges it will only allow the tower to fold forward. I assume you remove the 4 large knob screws (2 on each side) at the rear tower legs and fold the entire tower forward? I would rotate the board racks in first.

I pulled the two closest to bow on the down slope bars to front. Then I pulled the two in the cockpit closest to bow and loosened the back two. Then w help pushed toward transom all came apart but it stuck up to much once folded on back deck. It may be my tower speakers holding up 4" since they hit first. Just figured the back portion would get Windshield height at least but no such luck... I found

Take some pics of yours folded, but I'm pretty sure that's not the correct way to do it.
It should fold forward using the hinges that are about windshield high, then fold the rear legs toward the center of the boat.

When you fold the rear down it is also best to have something for the tower to rest on so the speakers don't rest on the back deck cushions. It will put some pretty good impressions in the cushions.

We us a small hard sided Coleman cooler and sit it in the walk thru and let the tower (at about the tower tow point) rest on the cooler.

You do not want the weight of the tower on the front legs............
