Suggestion for new truck tires?

I've been seeing more and more generals out there, I had a set of red letter grabbers for a while and liked em, they did real good. Been kinda curious to hear more on the grabber at2s..

I have started my second set of BFG AT's on mine. Much more wear than Michelin originals. I have no problems on grass.

I have sold them to everyone in my family with a truck. One brother came up with a complaint that while going 70 mph across the lake he live on, when he floors his Expedition, the tires would break loose.

I just love them on my truck. I sell a lot of these.

How do the General Grabbers and the BFG's do on mostly highway driving? The extent of my off-road usage may not warrant getting quite that aggressive on the tread pattern.

I've had General Granbber APs and Dunlop AT21s and Dunlop Rovers - all good tires.. The rovers lasted me 64000 until last night...

I can get 17-18 mpg on the highway running empty on my 02 F150 5.4 4x4 with 265/70R16 inflated to 40 psi, as long as I keep it below 70 mph. My truck gets thirsty over 70.

Discount tire said I might have some warranty left, but how? They were 60K mile tires...?

How many miles on them? They will pro-rate if possible. I would have to take a hard look at the inside of that tire before I would approve warranty. From that picture I would suspect that the tire was run low on air and cracked the liner.

What were the circumstances of the failure?

I think my setup is perfect for a 2500 GM.
