Stock amp

I recently bought an 06 x45. It has 2 tower speakers and 4 in boat speakers. All Jl. The head unit is a clarion. I would like to run 1 or 2 subs and eventually 2 more tower speakers.* Right now i want to install two of these subs. http://store.earmarkcaraudio.com/Xca...cat=352&page=1 Would my amp be enough to run one or two of them or should I get a bigger amp?* Any help would be appreciated as I am not very educated with wiring and ohms/watt usage. Here are a few pictures of what i have. Also I would like to know if i can use a set of those unsed RCA cords coming out of the head unit to run an aux cord for my ipod. I believe best buy sells them. Thanks, Mat

Don't know what amp or how the speakers are configured but in general, NO.
You need to determine what and how your existing system is config first.

Even one sub will likely need a separate amp. Especially if one is did not come oem.

Suggest you contact David at Earmark. He has recently helped me figure out how to set up my 09 X-15. My factory JL M-2250 will now drive my in boat speakers. My smaller factory amp will now be for the sub. I have a new MHD 750 that will drive the 4 JL tower speakers. A Kicker dual zone controller will finish it off.

Trust David. He gives excellent advice.

Not yet. I will install it in a few weeks but from what I can tell extremely simple. Will give separate volume control to in boat and tower speakers which will be ideal. Plus it keeps pre amp voltage high. Can't wait!
