Keep/Sell Prop

I have a cup 13RH14 prop that is a spare to a boat I am getting ready to sell. Should I include it in the sale, or is there any value to it fitting my 1994 PS 190 350TBI as a spare in a pinch? Are they even close to compatable?

The spare prop won't get you a penny more in the sale. It might make it slightly more sale-able, and it could work into negotiations. Probably get more selling it outright.

That does make sense, as one is a Ford, and the other a Chevy. Might go really fast backwards. lol.

One is a PCM and one is an Indmar. My 93 Indmar Ford was LHR. The PCM motors of old were RHR. The current crop of PCM motors are LHR. The RHR on the Nautiques is accomplished via the transmission.

If you can get the buyer to pay extra for it as an add on to the boat sale, sell it. Most prop strikes I have had have been in addition to other issues, and a spare prop hasn't made much of a difference.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

not going to comment on the lh vs rh issue here. however I made such a big mistake years ago when I sold my 05 supra ssv22. I had put a "wake prop" on the boat right after I bought it so the original was perfect. I have a evolution cover made ($1000) and the factory one was good. I ended up giving the buyer the extra prop (keyed vs splined on mc) and both covers.

I could have easily sold the evolution cover along with either prop for a extra $800.

It'll still work as a spare prop (You'll have to put it in reverse to go forward), but certainly isn't the best choice for that. Figure that you can get $200 if it's an old cast prop, $300 if it's a new CNC prop, on the open market.

Whether it'll fit on your PS190 is a different question - if it's a powerslot, you'll have a 1-1/8" propshaft, and if not you'll have a 1" propshaft. They need different props.
