Do you live on Lake Martin? If so where at. We are down at Lake Harding, but come up to Lake Martin a few times a summer. We love Lake Martin and wish it was closer!

I do not live there. I actually live in Hoover. My folks have a cabin on the Real Island end of the lake and we are down there nearly every weekend during the summer. It is a great lake though. Let me know the next time you come down and we can meet up.

Will definitely! Any word on Aquapalooza coming back?? I figured you might have some insider info on it since Martin is your local lake.

CC2MC, I frequently visit Lake Martin. I cannot help you much with your wakeboarding other than giving you time on the board since I have only tried it twice. But I have lots of free time usually so let me know!

There is a nice course not far from me at all and it is hidden in a nice calm area. You can usually find someone there. I believe they even have a clinic out there once a year. I went out last year and checked it out and there were several kids getting some lessons. It was fun to watch.

On Aquapalooza, I wish they would bring that back the way it used to be. They still have a version of it, but it is not like it was before where you can just pull the boat up and tie up together and listen to some good music. It is now called Ampapalooza, I believe, bc it is held at the Amphitheater. I believe it is about $15 on land and in order to moore up on first three rows, you have to be a sponsor. I did not go last year, but I did hear that it was still pretty good. I would just prefer to ride up in the boat and do it that way, as that is part of the fun to me.

@BoardNBama, where on LM do you visit? Maybe I should ask, at what ramp do you normally put in? What kind of "boardn" do you do?

Theclarks1111, only been to Lake Martin and Alabama River so far.

CC2MC, usually Kowaliga or The Ridge. Tried wakeboarding twice, surfing once. A big issue with me was unskilled boat operator pulling me when I tried surfing.

Kowaliga is not far from me at all. The Ridge is a bit further, but that is a nice area of the Lake. I understand the operator issue. It happens.
