1994 Prostar 190 versus Prostar 205 Wake

Hey can anyone tell me how a 1994 Prostar's wake compares to a Prostar 205. Is it basically the same hull only additional seats up front? Please reply. Thank you, Joe

Hull is like a foot longer and maybe 100 lbs more. I have not skied the 190 yet. Maybe this summer.

Blue s n s is a great looking boat though.

Also, the 205 has walk thru, so you lose the ability to put two guys in the observer seat comfortably.

Unless you buy or make a center jumpseat.

Agree 100%

I ski behind my '93 190 and Rats '93 205.

I get into -38 off behind both boats and enjoy skiing behind both boats. If you ask what is better I will say mine just because I own it and it is mine. Wake difference is slightly smaller on the 190 and at -22 off the bump is not as bad on the 190. Other than that they are very fine skiing machines.

I would buy based off of family size and open bow vs closed.

I WOULD NOT BUY OFF OF WAKE PATRERN!!!! They are practically the same.

Agree...wake is better on the 94 190 and definitely less side spray for footing off the boom on the 190 as compared to a 94 205.

I had a 91 - 190 (240hp 1:1)

It had an Acme 541 on it. I loved skiing that thing

I kept my prop when I sold it and put the stock 13x13 OJ back on

Put the Acme on my 95-205 (LT-1 1:1) and didn't find any real difference in the wake

Now I did have a chance to go out with the guy that bought my boat late last fall and I will say that my 205 with the 541 on it has a nicer wake (softer, lower, less rooster tail) than my old 91 with the original OJ on it

The only thing I will say is that if you are going out skiing and you buy a 205, stick to the 3 or 4 people total and no one in the bow, at least that is what I found to be the best

The real difference is in how the boats handle. Advantage: PS190... Both boats ski almost the same... Slight advantage @ 22 off for the 190...

I'd pick the 205 again

I'm happy w the 205 as well. Plan to have a while. I just need to get in front of the -22 hump.....

Those 93 metal flake boats sure are pretty though.

If I had smaller family or only skied with 3 people max, I would be after the 190.
