Looking for opinions on the difference between quality, durability, performance etc between these 2 ballast pumps. Johnson has better gph, both ignition protected.... Thanks!

Ive swapped my port pump over to a johnson ( jabsco died after 40 hrs ) Happy with the pump, good pressure / volume. I hard wired it into the battery, got fed up with the timers. So far so good.

Jabsco is better known in the industry because they've been marketing a ballast specific pump since 2002, but in terms of quality and reliability there is essentially zero difference between the two products, and they are a direct replacement for one another.
Most customers are selecting Johnson pumps because of their higher rated capacity and lower price, but both are a fine choice. |
