looks like someone side-swiped a dock. easy to do! A good repair would require getting behind the place and putting some extra fiberglass down to reinforce it then grinding the cracks out and filling with gel. An OK repair would be just putting the glass on the inside. A bad repair would be covering it up with a wrap! I looks like is is not in a structural part of the boat and wouldn't lilely cause any safety issues. Still probably a $1500-$3000 repair and should be taken care of before any deal to buy the boat. You just never know if they are going to find a stringer cracked when they access the hull.

I've seen that boat listed for sale for a long time. I would keep looking....find a better boat. Don't be afraid of the MCX. Its a great motor.

Yea that's the one I'm looking at. I've heard people talking about it being underpowered. We plan on doing a lot of wakesurfing.

When the gelcote is cracked then the fiberglass underneath is cracked. The previous repair was no good because the root problem, damaged fiberglass, was not corrected first. That area will have to be ground off to the fiberglass, the fiberglass repaired, and then gelcote applied.

Would it being a saltwater series make it worse then if it wasn't? I would never be using it in saltwater. The other SS I've seen are usually cheaper too.
