Few things worse than mirror-watching for that inevitable blowout. A couple tires go a long way for peace of mind.

Need to replace my Goodyear Marathon ST215/75R14 tires. Had two go out last year. Sounds like I should stay away from Goodyear. Any recommendations?

I can set you up with Kenda Loadstar KR03 trailer tires.

+100 on Marathons being junk. I've lost more Marathons than ALL other trailer tries put together. Not counting others I know who've had the tread peel off them as well.

I've had Kumho 857 D rated 14" tires that I beat the absolute cr@p out of, overloaded, gravel/rock roads/trails, hi speeds hi miles. They held great.
Just put Kenda Karriers on my tandem axle sled trailer last year. So far so good, not many miles yet on them.
IMO get D load tires for your boat. Not really more $ than good C load tires.

My Marathons made it from the original purchase 2002 until 2014, I did not realize they were that old until this thread. I pulled the boat 12 hrs home on them with no issues. I think luck was with me on that trip. Then I pulled it again another 6 hrs on the same tires. Finally changed them but went with Marathons again.

Kumho 865 Load D. You have to order them. Even an auto tire dealer for Kuhmo does not carry. Weird but I went through that issue last year. I ordered from tire rack dot com. A great towing tire for my single axle trailer.

I have been selling Kenda Loadstar trailer tires since 2008. Just heard from my first customer that he had a warranty claim. He called Kenda and they sent a new tire out right away at no cost.

Love your signature line. Jimmy Carter is happy to have that spot taken from him.
