People who don't have that whole "attention to detail" thing:
"Are those lights up there?"

An increasingly tired me:
"Nope, speakers...built for sound not light".

And yes, I too get the "do you fish on it?" Slowly I think people around here are starting to realize that you can actually do more on a lake than pull fish out of it.

pulled up to a friends dock to pick her up and her moms says "hey Marc I've never noticed the engine on the back of your boat before"? My response yea this baby really goes fast!

The worst was when I was selling my '94 PS190, a guy came to the house to look at it and asked "where do you put the crab traps?" He was totally serious, so I said "this boat is not for you, keep looking elsewhere".

That's the same boat the "Craig" on here now owns.....thank goodness!

I'm asked the same thing too. Had a Tige owner ask me if it was difficult converting it from inboard to outboard power.

True story:
My drunken neighbor has never liked me. I believe it is boat envy, he owns a Bay Liner. One day he pulls up beside me and asks “Do you want to race to the damn and back”. I’m sure his boat will top out at 50 MPH once he gets going so I just said “I’ll go ahead and give you the race to the damn and back, then we’ll put 3 slalom skiers behind each boat and do the same thing.” He says, “Why do you want to do that?” I say, “Because mine is a SKI boat”. That shut him up.

A few years later they lost their boat in a drunken collision with another boat. His son just bought an 89 Prostar that is identical to the one I used to own.

My wife's family member, that I only met after we had been married for over 10 years. We're very mad at me for not taking her husband fishing. Because I had that pole in the middle of the boat! I always like the people that just because you ski you drink at the same time.
