Yes. I priced out a aluminum Voyager dock system at the boat show last month because my wife bought. 24' pontoon. I need extra space and hauling my wood one out last fall sucked. I had no idea how expense Al docks can add up to. I am thinking about just adding on more wood sections to accommodate the pontoon to the right of the MC - kind of an "h" leg. I have not priced out the wood material costs yet. Based on this costing I will make the final call and if it ends up being wood I will build it while the lake is frozen and use that ice to my advantage as a work space

I'd love too! Got $40k you want to give me for a good cause?
I want a unit from www.floathouse.net. Single slip boat port for the X star with a 32x12' dock beside it for hanging out. It's fully floating and they engineer it so it can support the weight of a boat lift.

Our dock at Richland Chambers in Texas. So ready for summer, although we have been getting great sunset colors recently.

If you can qualify a new dock as a democratic benefit, I'm sure Obama will approve it.

Aluminum Dock
So we bought a lot on a lake and will be looking to build our full time residence on it in the next few years. I just can't wait that long to stop trailering so I'm buying a lift and dock now. Nothing too fancy for the dock, just 30' straight out to the lift.
The anodized aluminum decking caught my eye at the show yesterday. Anyone have any experience with this? How is it in the sun? Does it get hot? The decking had some traction grooves, but does this still get slippery for wet kids? It's really light and sounds like it would last forever, just curious if anyone here has had experience with it. |
