2003 x2, New to me mid-summer last year. My first Mastercraft (and first inboard).
Spent what was left of summer playing with weight and bags for surfing. Wakeboard wake didnt seem to need any work with the stock ballast full.
Have a heater project lined up, working on the teak right now.
Love the boat.

What did you discover worked best for surfing? I've got to figure that out this summer too.

It's a work in progress but all the stock balast full-540lb in the surf side locker (port for us)another 540bag on the port seat. 300lbs on the floor in the in the bow walkway.....we had a couple of 200lb plus guys that could surf that with a fast board-wave gets weird if people are moving around and it's not that long.
I've seen some guys on here saythey put way more weight up front so I will try that this summer to see if we can stretch it out a bit.
Hate having bags laying all over the place so may add removing the hard tanks to my list of projects and bury a bag under the bow seats

Take boards out of racks to reduce drag. Have observer sit in port bow. I run 32 MPH, faster is better. Wakeplate would help, but I don't have the room in my garage

That pic is probably 30-31 MPH with a few people in the boat...

My '01 that I bought last March. The tower was aluminum but was pretty oxidized so I had it powder coated.
