New boat cleaning product check list

Hey Guys

I know there is a ton of threads on this already. Just want to run my plan by you guys and see what you think.

Boat is a 2009 X45 black and red. New to me.

Step One: Remove all the cushions and clean with Babes seat soap (From what I read it works better then the 303 cleaner). Depending if the sticking is dirty I may use a tooth brush and really scrub with Babes. Last step two coats of 303 Areospace Protectant.

Step Two: Cover - clean with 303 fabric cleaner and protect with 303 Fabric Guard

Step 3- Carpets- steam clean carpets and use 303 Fabric cleaners on any spots.

Question: Is there a product I should spray on the carpet after cleaning to protect it?

Step 4- Collinite Cleaner wax 920 then Collinite Fleetwax 870 followed by 303 Areospace protectant.

Question: I have never owned a boat with some many decals on the side. Will the use of a polisher harm the decals or do I polish and wax over the decals?

Step 5- Polish all the metal including the tower with Meguiras metal polish followed by Meguirs metal guard

Question:: I am not set on the Meguirs products. Any other suggestion into metal polish

Step 6- Clean engine and bilge then coat engine cover and hoses with 303

Step 6- Drink 6 beers while looking at the boat in the Garage. Possibly substitute last beer with 40 Creek Rye and Coke.

Did I miss anything??

Purchase List:
1 gallon 303 Areospace protectant (EBAY $54)
1 gallon Babes Seat soap (Easy boat care $30.99)
32 oz 303 Fabric Cleaner (Easy boat care $15.99)
32 oz 303 Fabric Guard (Easy bat care $31.99)
1/2 gallon Collinite Cleaner wax 920 and Collinite Fleetwax (combo price $79.95)
Meguairs Metal Polish (easy boat care $21.99)
Meguairs Metal Gaurd (easy boat care $23.99)

I'm a fan of 303 but its a tad greasy for my needs, Babes is what I would still be using if I had not tried Boat Bling. I am a huge believer in the "Boat Bling products: love the Cleaner and the after coating product they sell. They have a great water spot remover but I have not tried it because our water is soft.

You will love the Colonite wax but I use the Presta compound and polish with wool pad and foam pads and hand wax with the Colonite. I bought a Flex polisher I saw and will give some feed back after I use it...

I use poor boys and Adams products for the dash and plastic black parts. Both are fantastic.

303 Fabric cleaner is the and I quote "the slap bomb" on the stitching and I would'nt use anything else.

Totally awesome is well....totally awesome. I use it when nothing else will work and I rinse everything thoroughly.

I use the Meguiars metal cleaner but because of the clear anodize the metal will never pop! Non ammonia cleaners are all you can use.

Love that you diving it the the world of CLEAN...I love it here

I love the boat candy vinyl cleaner, 303 obvs, and I like the fleet too.

Ive seen people put stuff on carpet but who knows. I usually powerwash mine after a few trips

Totally awesome is great too for crap that just won't come off. I've used it in the bilge too.

My son would clean the boat himself if the cleaner smelled like bacon!

I think purchase list needs to include favorite adult beverage as well... and if a minor is cleaning... then a chase lounger with cup holder for supervisor is required...

Well I went a little nuts.
Purchased:

303 products (fabric cleaner, aerospace, fabric guard, etc).
Babes Seat soap, babes boat bubbles, and Babes boat bright
vinylex
collinite fleet and cleaner. (went with Liquid, I find the liquid waxes easier to use and would rather due it twice a season then once with paste)
Rejex- Heard really good things and bad. Going to try a section and see
Meguirs metal polish and gaurd,
porter cable 7242xp, 6 lake country pads,
8 Spray bottles (I bought almost everything by the gallon or half gallon)

Klasse polish and wax for the tow rig and wife's car

The boat is being transported from Texas to Ottawa Ontario at the end of March. The detailing starts then. Good thing I don't have kids and the wife lives 2 hours away. My nights will be spent in the garage with my boat, the porter cable, micro fiber towels, and various cleaning products.
