I have installed one of each brand. They installed exactly the same. The biggest thing for me was matching the gauges already in the boat as best as I could. A hot and ground wire are the only wiring to be done, the other wire connects the puck to the unit. In both cases, I epoxied the puck to the bilge floor instead of thru-hulling.

This is exactly why I had to change all my gauges, EVERYTHING HAD TO MATCH
