I'm completely sick of the arguing, name-calling and personal attack BS. I'm constantly amazed by how few people edit their comments when they were clearly made in the heat of the moment and that's never a good way to be involved in a debate.

You are correct, both sides do it. But there are independent polls out there that are meant for truly gaging public sentiment. I question whether people want a debate of ideas, most people seem to want to surround themselves with the likeminded and beat down any opposition. We just hear the same recycled talking points over and over again.
