Yes, I am aware poly belt is slack. Replaced with new and have not tightened, keeping tension off of it for the winter.

I see you scored some of that nice looking Trident hose too 😉

Oh and something that I did when I changed my belt is I took the old one and left it on and wrapped around the water pump, then zip tied it. Just in case my belt breaks while on the water I have a back up ready to go.

What drives this? Is it an electric motor?
I think trying something new is cool. Good for you. I bet you'll be purposely pulling to the dock at 90* so you can engage that and swing yourself around.
For me... I don't think I'd add it to my MC.

My MC has been wrapped for a couple of months now but I did take some parts off to play with this winter.

I took my crank pulley off, blasted it and powder coated it in my home powder coat setup.



I also rebuilt my Johnson water pump. This thing was spray painted black and looked terrible. It also leaked like crazy. I got a new seal from skidim and it seems to hold water now in an unscientific sink test.

I took a wire wheel to the body to clean off the old ugly paint.



Then blasted & powdercoated the bracket, replaced the rubber grommet and put it back together with a stainless bolt. It's as good as new.

I changed the steering cable out on my 205v. Relatively easy job except I had to remove the middle floor section to pull the cable past (& back through)by the front of the . also my MCOCD kicked in and I had to clean fuel tank and the area under the floor. Now I turn the wheel with a finger as opposed to wrestling with it.

Very rewarding project. It is amazing how much nicer it is to drive with a fresh steering cable. If I even think my steering is getting stiff again I will throw in a new cable.

Steam cleaned every inch of carpet in the boat

Buffed and waxed the interior while its out for new skins.

My arms hurt from removing 11 years of funk behind the seats.

Think MCocd has hit an all time high. I even scrubbed the gas tank today.
