I had it on my 2011 X25, And won't ever get one again. I found that people would flip it out at the sandbar, or out on the water, and then never put it back in..... You end up pulling out with the ladder still in the water.

The only thing it would be useful for, is if you beach the boat.

exact reason we opt'd out on getting it. i can see that thing being left hanging out constantly.

Our kids use it to get in and out with when on the water. They don't use it a lot, but I think it's a nice option to have.

Nice work Nick, looks great.

On the ladder, I had one on my last non-MC boat:

The good, already listed.

The bad...

1. Sun + Booze + High Center of Gravity, had at least one person with too much liquid confidence take a stumble, bent the top rail and he got hurt. Think walking up those steps hands full of drinks and mis-stepping.

2. Another person had sand on the bottom of their sandal, (before my no shoes policy) and scuffed up the gel coat. The back platform entry helps eliminate that a bit.

3. I doubt that the MC one rattles, my hurricane deck boat rattled, the cover would pop open/slam closed in choppy water.

4. Older people had trouble getting up that ladder (+55) as the bottom step was only a foot or so into the water.

On the ladder query,
We use it all the time as we only ever load the troops at the bank.
Couldn't imagine my Mrs trying to climb over the bow and she as she is 4 foot nothing she would struggle getting in on the platform while trying to stay dry!

i like the light gray with black shield.

thanks for the ladder feedback everyone. i dont know maybe its something ill invest in down the road but for now im not going to stress it.
