Thanks, I do have many power plant pics but can not seem to find them at the moment. When I do I'll post them up. I'm one of the MCOCD guys that waxes the bilge.

Very nice Covi. When I decided to purchase a used boat I thought it would be a blessing as it would come with it's dents and dings and I'd learn to be OK with them. As it turns out, the previous owner was absolutely meticulous in his care and maintenance of his Mastercraft. Now I'm going to be just as uptight as if I'd purchased a new boat. Waxing the bilge eh? Hmmm...

PLR, you have a beauty there. Looks to be all original just like mine. I see a few things on your motor that have been changed as I also have some parts that I have changed out. I know the feeling the PO of my boat took just as good care as yours. In fact the day I bought it when the owner asked me if I wanted to look at the interior and I said yes. He preceded to remind me to take my shoes off. At that point I knew I was going to be leaving with that boat attached to the back of my truck! Where in Canada are you? I'd love to get these 2 together.

A neighbor of mine has an 86. What sets his apart is that he removed all the rainbow graphics and replaced it with the stars and stripes. If you didn't look close ( at the sides and the slot in the hull) you would swear it wasan 84 or 85. It looks fabulous.
The 86's are probably the most unique year of any skier/prostar made. When they came out I wasn't a huge fan of the rainbow decals. I quickly realized ( after purchasing the newer 87 model) what a great boat the 86 was (is!). I loved my 87 but , missed the convienance of leaning over the gunnel to pick a ski out of the water (like the stars and stripes).
