I just finished some air travel for work. What's happened to people's sense of pride and common sense? It's amazing what people wear these days on a plane. While I'll admit I don't dress up in a suit any longer while traveling at least what I wear is clean and presentable. I was amazed at the number of people wearing dirty sweat pants and pajamas. Several looked like they hadn't showered or shaved in days. When did it become fashionable to not take some basic pride in ones appearance when going out in public.

Every year I'm more willing to drive farther than to submit myself to the animal farm that flying has become.

Agreed. It is hard to deal with inexperienced air travelers. Thank goodness for airline rewards programs. Most of the time we get seperated.

I know what you mean. Nobody has any common sense anymore. Its the Dumbing down of society. If people dont respect themselves how will they respect others?

I fly just enough to be annoying 10-12 times/year, but not enough to get the upgrades! Although my director just told me our CEO told us to go ahead and get a lounge pass for the year. That will help a little.
