At least the harbor seals wouldn't be able to open it. Otters, on the other hand, would get drunk.

Actually I meant to say Sea Otters. Yes, they would. At one place we go diving at it is popular for dive training. The dive masters take a surface marker out that also allows them to store some safety gear at the surface of the water. It's basically a miniature tube with a storage area in the center. The otters will go up to them and for fun throw all the gear out. It's funny as all hell to watch. I guess it's not so funny if its your stuff that get's thrown into the drink.

Sounds hilarious. The lake in Northern Wisconsin where my brother's place is has clams and resident otters. Its fascinating to watch them break open the clams with a rock while they are doing the back-float.

Anyone in the lower Midwest or South getting hammered today? Heard there's some big storms brewing. Received a few inches of snow last night here in Denver; much needed after 2 weeks of unseasonably warm 50+ degrees.

If it doesnt rain soon the lake will be too low to ski.
