LT-1 Engine
I spoke with a mechanic today that said that he has a modified LT-1 that he had built for his MC PS. He said it puts out 400+ hp and looks really nice. He originally bought the MC with a bad engine and went to the junkyard and replaced the block with one from an impalla SS. He kept the boat for three years and never had a problem with it. In the mean time, he built this other LT-1 and it has been sitting covered up in his shop. He said if I ever had to replace my engine that he had one for me to the tune of about $2200. I should see him this weekend at the local boat show and will ask him more about it then. Just thought that was interesting, and if anyone is looking for a nice clean engine he has one.

Got to talk to the mechanic for that. I could ask though. I believe he said aluminum heads. He said he would have to use some of the dressing as he called it from my engine to make it work.

the aluminum heads are standard except for the impala cast iron heads.
