Well I replaced the other valve cover gasket today. Did the first one a few weeks ago. The second time around it sucked a lot less lol! Those last two bolts are still rather unpleasant though. Hey, I noticed a small amount of evidence of water (condensation?) inside this valve cover. There was none on the other side. Like I said not much but should I worry?

One thing I need to do this spring is replace a slat of teak on my swim platform.
There is a piece that broke off (from the po  ) and I just want to replace that one slat.Any places that you know of that sell individual pieces or any suggestions on a quick fix? I do not have the piece that broke off... See below

There's a shop in Morris - The Woodworkers shop they sell teak. Fixing the one slat will be a pain. trim out part of what's left make a piece, You would have to make a jig to match curve. and slip in. I'm not sure taking the deck apart to fix one slat would work without causing any more damage. my .02.

If I recall correctly (and I could be slipping
 ).....I did take mine all the way apart and sanded each piece. Just be VERY careful sanding too much off the edges. It doesn't look very good if some of the edges are rounded off from a sander when it all goes back together.

I talked to a guy at teak world and a replacement slat was pretty cheap...most likely go that route.
I also have the platform in the basement used as a bar table...I can always use the slat from that platform as a template if need be... I think I am gonna just order from TW this week and be done with it... Jeff-His the house coming? Too damn cold here to do anything this week!

Replacing that slat will be cake. All this work going into the DD, when is the OB going to get it's turn!?!?
