Looking to upgrade interior '97 PS190

Hello,

I'm looking to redo all my interior on a '97 PS190. I like the new vinyls found in the new boats.

What is my best bet? Should I just go to my local MC dealer or look for other sources?

Can they all get the same materials? or does MC have something special? can I get something better than what MC offers ? hehe.

Is this a do it myself project where I can just order the skins? (I'm not fond of this option)

Any quick direction on this project would be appreciated. I do have our local annual boat show coming up in a few weeks, I plan on looking for interior options there.

Don't know where you are exactly, but Viper Custom seems to be the number one choice on the forum. Unbelievable workmanship, and excellent prices. They're in Tennesse. You can also order the skins from them and do it yourself I believe.

I contacted Viper Customs for more info.. Thanks guys. I will also be talking with my dealer.

I'm wondering now if I should do the carpet @ the same time?

On my 1997 PS190 they have an option where the back seat rises up and makes a sundeck. this sun deck is held in place by two rubber bungies and it rests on the other parts of the upholstery padding. This design is poor and I would like to improve it and also make it safer. Because as it is if someone steps on the very edge of the sundeck the bungies won't hold the weight it and the seat will collapse. Not sure if I can do much? Maybe since I'm redoing the interior I could build in more support in the upholstery pads that the sundeck rests on?

If Jim at Viper does your work, that can definitely be fixed. He's doing a custom walkthru on my X-30. He also converted one of the other members one piece sun deck to a three piece. I would get the carpet done at the same time. Might as well, right?
