Mac, what lake will you ride on? I live in Hoover and boat on Lake Martin. Good luck on deciding on the boat.

My last 2 boats had the power tower. If I was to rank the towers in order of preference it would be;
1 ZFT3 (first choice) 2 ZFT4 3 ZTF5P (had too many issues) Honestly, after having the 5P on 2 different boats, I would rather do away with it. Dont get me wrong, being able to lower the bimini during rainy days was awsome, but IMO not worth all the other headaches - not to mention the amount of flex (supposably fixed with braces). If I had a choice on a new 2013, it would be a ZFT4, even if they offered a 5P for free.

I too have owned the ZF3, ZF4, and ZF5P. I think the ZF4 is my favorite. I had every issue imaginable with my power tower, but once they figured out the hydraulic system and installed my braces it was a pretty nice tower. I would not buy a boat that has not been retro-fitted, and I would not pay extra $ for a power tower. However, if this X25 is priced right and you love all of the other options/colors, I wouldn't let the tower stop you-especially if it has the new upgrades.
