If the LTR or MCX will push it 45 to 46 and hold it with a 200lbs footer and 2 or 3 adults in the boat then I would definitely consider it but would still prefer the 6.0 if I could find one.

I barefooted behind a 209, 5 adults in the boat with the 310 motor. I go about 210 and did not have a problem. If i was looking the MCX would be fine.

I'm sure you know this, but prop is key. Picked up a couple mph on the top and better holeshot when ballasted with the 3 blade acme over the stock 13x13.

I can bring a big bag of cash but it will not be full of cash. Not looking to purchase right now. I'm looking to buy a lot on the water that is dock permittable if I'm able to find what I want in my price range I will probably keep the 190 and just get another X45 for cruising, surfing and wakeboarding.

Definately props will make some difference but I've owned the 02 X7 with the 310hp predator engine and a 03 197 with the 6.0, based on my experence with the previous models and engines I think I would prefer to have the 6.0. If and when I do get serious about purchasing I will definately look at any with the ltr or mcx due to the limited to no availability of one with the 6.0

Neighbor has a X9 with MCX, doesn't really seem any faster than mine. Need to foot behind it for the comparison. X9 is perfect boat for me- room for a small crowd, plenty of wake for scarecrows and back rolls, and plenty fast for 'footin. Nothing wrong with two boats though ![]()
