Remove oxidized fading
The last person that owned my boat must have had the back facig the sun as their is slight lightenig of paint in a couple areas.
How do I get that back to normal and looking good as the rest of boat color and paint is perfect? |

We discuss this about once a month. A search for oxidation removal will get you lots of results.
Here is a link to my method with some results pics. I've used it on multiple boats with the same results. http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...light=compound here is another http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...light=compound and here is my 1985 Restoration thread that also talks about gel refinishing with photos http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ht=restoration

it works
![]() I did something way different than a bucket of water and sandpaper.... I built my own contraption like this and as I was sanding with my right hand, I was holding the poly tubing above the sandpaper with my left hand... kept the sandpaper a lot cleaner and it had plenty of bite. ![]() using ![]() and ![]() and ![]()

used 3M rubbing compound and 3M finesse-it polish with a variable speed buffer. Before and after photos. It takes time, patience and your arms will be sore but so worth it in the end.
