I'm guessing that the part of the fin that broke off did the damage to the hull. Plenty other hull damage, but likely a good project for someone that can handle the work........or is willing to learn. Probably tow it away if you had 17 Franklins.

Fin is pushed up into the hull. Skilled fiberglass and gel coat work needed. Can be done cheap if you can be self-taught and a buy new "skag". The "small" hole is in the boat, not the tracking fin, but it's broken too. Hope the prop, strut, and rudder are ok. No pics of those conveniently.

Definitely damaged...look at the foward most fin....looks like he hit a large rock or boulder, then skipped up and came down hard on the second one, thus breaking it away from the bottom of the hull. Major damage, but honestly looks like a fun project. Drive over there with $1500 in hundred dollar bills, wave it in his face after pondering the damage a bit, and bingo! Project boat...works everytime, especially if you get those "new smell" bills from the bank! Worth a least looking at.

For half the price of that one in Colorado you could of have had a complete boat, with a motor, and with the interior, not a boat with the tower off, the engine torn apart (who knows what is wrong or missing) and an interior that is out (who knows what is wrong or missing). At least with the damaged boat you had a vessel that was all put together and could have gotten it for cheaper......With $500 or less in parts (fiberglass, resin, paint, gel coat, tracking fins etc) your only real investemnt would be your time, providing you have some basic skills. But no one will ever know if the strut/shaft/prop were damaged as well or not, all a crap shoot. Lots of good projects and good deals out there....
