Corvette LT1?
In a 1994 PS 190 whats the corvette lt1 engine offer over the standard EFI? My 1993 had the carb motor and it was plenty for skiing the course.

More hp. over the carbed and std. EFI engines. I do not recall what the subsequent gains in hp were per version, but I'm sure someone here will be able to list it.

A 94' Lt-1 should be about 308 HP, the standard TBI was 275.

I am more curious about performance. Does it have a much higher top end, more power out of the hole. How much more would one expect to pay for the LT1 vs the standard EFI today in the 94. So is it substantially better?

The 1:1 gave you about maybe 2-3 MPH more over the 275 HP
The LT-1/powerslot is an animal. I would put my PS 190 with that combo up againist anything. I know mine goes over 50 MPH http://www.bayareawatersports.com/se...&sortDir=DESC& Jim@BAWS

![]() LT1 is basically a "cool" factor with a little more umph! I would also say it would most likely run just a touch smoother due to it being sequential injection and larger coil pack. Whereas the standard one is TBI with 2 injectors.

I think our 96 PS 190 was 335 HP with the LT-1. (I could be wrong and I know someone will inform me if I am). It would run right around 50 though (1:1) and was very strong. We went from a 2400 lb boat with 335 hp to a 3800 lb boat with 325 hp (x-15) so that was a huge change in both power and handling.

I was thinking 94 was 319HP. Multi Port Fuel Injection is very nice and provides more than enough power throughout the powerband. I absolutely love mine.

My '93 has the LT-1 1:1
My '94 had the LT-1 powerslot From what I recall, the slot did not give me anymore top speed, but holeshot was better and it should hold more of a steady speed in the slalom course. I have not played with props yet on my '93 so still experimenting but everyone I have pulled (34 mph) seemed to like it so far (just open water slalom) 310 hp was the rating in '94. It was later bumped up to 328hp I believe. (96?) Either way, you cannot go wrong with the LT-1 power no matter what trans it has. BTW, Jim's boat looks really nice!
