Fuel line coupler disconnect

How do you get those couplers off the fuel tank? I want to remove my tank but leave the pump assembly inside. I'm not ready to break the band or do something that would be a biger PITA to fix it.

2003 Prostar 209 SD edition.

Don't cut those bands. Roll back the red rubber covering and use a GM fuel line disconnect tool from an auto parts store. Most tools have the 2 sizes, 5/16 and 3/8. I forget what size you need for those lines. You have to push the tool into the coupler part of the line, then push and pull the line to make it disconnect.
Might be a good time to change your fuel pump if it's 3-5 years old.
I was njskier on here.
