I get why people live on/by the ocean, but that water and what's in it is just not for me. Grew up on freshwater lakes, will stay on freshwater lakes (or reservoirs now, in my case). Don't mind dealing with a little swimmer's itch now and then.

The two big advantages to salt are: when it gets plowed up your nose it doesn't burn, and when it's low tide it's smells really, really good, (my wife's word exactly). That pretty much sums it up. Other then that it reeks havoc on everything else!

Yeah, sharks live in the ocean everywhere. Never heard of a shark attack on a water skier, wake boarder, etc., have you?

was at the clones-fsu game several years ago in arrowhead. seneca wallace almost pulled it out. have a lake place near gainesville, fla, grew up in jacksonville, and worked life guard 5 seasons at jax beach. have seen my share of sharks and they do attack surfers (wake boarder with a bigger board and no tow rope). guess you see your share of marine critters living in the 50th state, eh?
