10 Foot Bunks

I had to replace my MC trailer 3 years ago. The Pacific Trailer I bought came with 10 foot bunks. I raised that concern with the builder and was told it would be fine. Today I noticed some gelcoat spider cracks on the left side right in front of the bunk towards the bow. Just a few. My camera not showing any detail. Could this be from weight bearing down on the end of the bunks? I know a lot of lifts only have 10 footers, but don't want this to get worse. Lifting one thing, trailering another. Bunk alignment looks good. Just 2 feet shorter than OEM.

Decent of them. Sounds like a road trip.

How far is the drive?

Ask them about reimbursing you for the materials and you doing the work yourself?

Are they changing locations of trailer to bunk supports or just adding longer bunks?

They are adding longer bunks. So, a new support beam ect. 1 day job, so I will wait for a nice week, and haul it 300 miles, and spend a day at the beach. I could not haul my boat to them, because my MC trailer was too far gone. I was very adamant about it fitting in the garage which may have been a factor. Nice of them to do this after 2 years! Just wish they were closer.

Sorry I didn't come across your original post, but are you sure the cracks weren't there before and/or they are from powerloading perhaps a little shallow, or a previous mishap? Surprised the hull would flex that much. Would still get the longer bunks and just my .02c. Have fun.

These started after the trailer swap. It took 2 years. By powerloading do you mean a running start into the trailer? Never did that. Just got it lined up, and slowly drove it on. Never a running start, so to speak.
