Can you cut out the Ice chest in a 97 ProStar 205

I have a 97 pro star 205 that has the Built in ice chest. I was wondering if anyone has cut that out because I'm want to put it fat sack down in place of that. If any one has would you let me know how hard it was and is it Worth doing.

I'd be interested in seeing how much space would be there without the cooler i.e. how far toward the bow is usable. That cooler, other than as a trash can, is worthless and it would be great to get some hidden ballast. I think you should do it and report back

I think in 98 and 99 it was an option to have a ski locker. That Ice chest is a Waste.
