I had an extreme and went to the PTM. The mount for the extreme can be used on the PTM, which cuts the price slightly. The PTM has a superior field of view without question.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

We just upgraded to the PTM as well and have this one for sale... http://www.mastercraft.com/market/sh...p?product=4381

Check out Walmart, they sell the Extreme Mirror for $59.00. IMO, way cheaper than the PTM, but the PTM has an unobstructed pannoramic view.

New CIPA wave convex mirror $99, anyone have or tried?

I'm thinking about upgrading to the PTM. However I just found this new CIPA wave version of it, 7x17.
Its only $100 vs $300. Anyone have one, seen one, or can add any advice.
I had the standard, then upgraded to the Extreme with 3 mirrors and NOW? I'd prefer $100 if its close to the PTM at $300, no brainer. But I'm afraid the $100 one is more like their 100 degree, smaller one.vr100, 6x14 instead of 6x20. I'm in AL and using a mirror instead of a 3rd person is convenient.

Got the CIPA Vision 180 for $60 compared to PTM for $200

For the price difference, I'd recommend the CIPA Vision 180. I compared the Vision 180 on my boat to a PTM in the showroom on a Ski Nautique. Not able to do both on the water.

My wife really likes the Vision 180 over the older CiPA Extreme with 3 mirrors. It has a huge vision area. I could see my wife playing on the course with no problems. It is a little taller in the middle area than the PTM. Same quality mirror/glass as the original mirror or Extreme. The image is slightly out of proportion due to the large convex. It has a large plastic case, but was very light weight. As previously stated the Vision 180 does fit the original "cup" mount on the extreme. Which I have 4 extra ones if anyone needs one.

Extreme for sale if anyone is interested, $30 plus shipping.

For my application - X25 - The distance of the raise arm over the windshield is way to low.

Nice price though if you don't need a taller rise on the mirror.
