Stars and Stripes Dash
Hey guys, I'm redoing the entire interior to my 83 stars and stripes this winter. I wanted to get rid of the plastic wood grain pieces on the dash, and replace it with metal. I know that after 1983, the MC dash pieces were made of metal (I'm guessing aluminum) I wanted to know if anyone out there happened to know where i can find these metal pieces. I could always make them, but i wanted to see if i could get lucky on here.
Thanks guys!

Check with Dan Jaworski on the MasterCraft Project on Facebook. He might be wrapping his, but should be able to get you dimensions on an 85 set, or even trace them for you. If he's fanning new you might get lucky.

You can be surprised.....I know of someone restoring a 79 S&S that needed a windshield, and had a connection at Tommy Bartlet's that seemed to remember a new windshield in the back of a building somewhere. Sure enough, under a lot of dust was an unused windshield.

I replaced the weathered plastic wood grain on my dash with oak.
I still have the OEM dash and still have plans to use it as a template to make one from aluminum or stainless, maybe even carbon graphite if I stuble across the material. In the meantime the one I made from oak is holding up well.
