Nice rims!
Did you get new tires also or were your old ones still good?

I stuck with the same tires as they were still in decent shape. Feel lucky there at least!
The previous owner just put on two new ones and the other two were still ok. I don't know the brand names off hand though. Two different kinds though. Tire shop liked them too!

FINALLY, a little sun and a warm day (on the weekend)!
![]() Decided to take on the new brakes and new bearings. I swung by a local boat shop to get some new bearing buddies and to also see if any of the ones on my boat cold be re-used. And after his review, I could probably use at least two of them. So away I went on the rebuild. The old bearing grease was dripping out and black. A few of the wheels made some rattling sounds when I spun them so I think overall, the timing was good. ![]() ![]() ![]() A light tap on the sides of the bearing buddy released it. I just tapped while turning the wheel but I guess you could also just tap enough to get a gap on the back side and then use a screwdriver to pry it off. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hubs and parts pretty rusted up and the brake piston/actuator has seen better days.

Packed the bearings with Mobil 1 Synthetic grease.....
![]() ![]() started the seal: ![]() Then used a hole saw to drive it on evenly and flush: ![]() ![]() Clean and grease up the spindle shaft: ![]() place the rotor and caliper on together: ![]() ![]() The bolts I received did have some loctite stuff on it already but after screwing in and removing, some of it came off. Also, I had to torque the calipers on to 55 ft-lbs but before I got there, the lock washers spread open. I backed those off and re-use the old lock washers and everything worked much better. I did put some red locktite on each bolt though. ![]() Installed the new bearings and new bearing buddies: ![]() Final product: ![]()
